November 8: Blackhole Brew

Today we got together to make our “Black hole Brew” Oatmeal Stout. Todd had been begging for a new brew of this great heavy beer, it is by far his favorite. We all like it and are almost totally out of it.
For the brew today Dick, Todd, Bruce, Chris1, Harrison and Brad were there. We actually had the correct ingredients, including hops. Normally we have to make do with “close to” hops as we always forget to buy supplies in advance, however we actually got smart this time and ordered everything we needed in advance and had it all on hand.
The Brew went well and we are hoping that this one turns out better than the last batch. Last time we did not quite get it to the level of darkness and flavor we like.
